When I was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), I began my journey towards acceptance and recovery, and decided to journal my experiences. I needed to gain an understanding of my disorder, and to learn how to navigate amid the triggers and episodes. Just as importantly, I needed to remove my personal negative stigma of mental disorders as a whole. I immediately realized that there may be others who are needing help as I do.
I decided to publish my journey. My poetry outlines my personal lived experiences in facing and navigating my rages of IED.
